I just watched Washington Mutual joined Lehman in the grave and can still remember the orderly bankruptcy of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and AIG. The US financial system (and the economy) is at the brink of collapsing. Yet, the House Republicans are in no hurry of passing the rescuing bill, or any bill.

If you’re paying attention to today’s stock market, you’d be amazed by how it staged a 400 point recovery on a rumor that Federal government may create an entity to hold banks bad debts. will it work? I sure hope so.
